How We Started
Founded in 2025 by Dr. Callie Hansen
In 2025, Dr. Callie Hansen, Ph.D. in Psychology, MS — Master of Science, MA — Master of Arts, LPC, opened the doors to Hansen Counseling Collective’s first physical location at 1213 Hylton Heights, Suite 101, in Manhattan, Kansas.
After years of practicing within the rules and limitations of a standard group practice, Callie set out to build something different: a home base where independent counselors, therapists, psychologists, and other practitioners could see their own clients, set their own hours, and keep more of their own hard-earned income — without giving up the accountability, referrals, and friendship that come from practicing alongside colleagues.
Hansen Counseling Collective is exactly what its name promises — a collective. Every practitioner under our roof runs their own independent practice. We just happen to do it in the same building, for each other, and for the Manhattan community we serve.

Manhattan, Kansas 66502 — our first physical location, and the shared home base for every independent practitioner in the collective. In-person and telehealth sessions are both available.
